(5/1/25) End of the Year Video!
I'm so proud of all the work we did for the academic year. We are approaching the end and I am very pleased with how everyone progressed, their hard work, and creativity. I am especially impressed with high school junior and adult students carving out time as they get through their busy and challenging schedule. Let's push until the end of June and finish strong! Thank you for a wonderful year!

(2/1/25) The Room Where It Happens - A special friend in the studio!
A conductor from San Diego, Josh Cullen, visited the studio. He made it to Charlotte to conduct the Hamilton show that was showing throughout January at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. In the studio, I got to hear his repertoire for his next tour after the Hamilton tour. It was fun to meet a new friend and also attend the Hamilton musical in the city of Charlotte, followed by a special backstage tour!

(12/1/24) NCTM/VLMTA 2024 Scale Olympiad🎵
I'm so proud of all of the students who entered the NCTM/VLMTA 2024 Scale Olympiad. There were 5 categories - scale, arpeggio, cadence, sightreading, and inversions that everyone did so well in. Many blue ribbons (first places)!

(11/21/24) Adult Repertiore Class 🎼
In our most recent adult repertoire class, each student played the piece they'd been working on for each other (adult studio members). This was such a fun and informative experience for all, creating a safe space to receive corrections and grow in your playing! The repertoire featured a Mozart concerto, a Prokofiev sonata, Beatles songs, Bach, a movie theme, and an original composition from a student.
