(6/30/24) Singing in the Summer! - Opera Carolina Workshop
German lieder, French melodie, opera scenes, musical, disney, you name it - we did it all! It was packed two-weeks of instruction, masterclasses, and rehearsals, and I had a great time coaching the future professional singers and seeing them grow. Such an enjoyable team of coaches and staff!

(4/2/24) Studio Recital at Charlotte SHOUT! Festival
Our studio recital will be part of the Charlotte SHOUT! festival, featuring beloved film music performed by students from Dr. Bomi Tunstall's piano studio. Piano solos and ensembles of 8-hands will present themes from Forrest Gump, The Wizard of Oz, James Bond, and more. Also featured are captivating works of Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich used in films. This recital will be held in a unique amphitheater from 40 recycled pianos housed in one of Charlotte's most historic churches. The first Pianodrome in the U.S. is right here in Charlotte!

(3/26/24) Rehearsal and Recording Sessions This Week
Our recital is coming up, so exciting! Students are continuing to work hard at rehearsals. With hard work comes great results, and I look forward to hearing everybody play at the recital. Great job!

(10/9/23) Practicing Winners!
Congratulations to the following students for practicing the most days in August and September:
- August winner: Olivia (2nd grader): 35 sessions/each 30 min.
- September winner: Lillian (10th grader): 34 sessions/each 50 min
- September Adult winner: Allison: 2-2.5 hours every day
Our monthly winners hold the title for outstanding practice time. 25 days per month are the minimum, but they exceeded this amount. Don't forget to write down the minutes of each practice session you do in October to get stickers and the winning title. Will you be the next winner?
(8/21/23) New studio pet fish & Nala Queen the hedgehog
It's o-fish-ial, the new studio pet fishes are here! The fish tank with guppies, tetras, and a snail is open for anyone to look at. They will surely enjoy all of your piano playing! Also, we had the opportunity to look after my daughter's class pet for a few weeks in the summer. Nala Queen the hedgehog is back in the classroom, but below is a cute picture of her when she was with us!

Fall lessons are just around the corner! I'm so excited to help you improve and accomplish your new goals. Lessons start next Monday (8/14). Additionally, a practice area is now available! If you arrive earlier than your lesson or want to review material after your lesson, feel free to go up and practice on the digital piano. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Today is officially the last day of school! Excellent job everybody finishing the academic year strong and I'm so proud of all the progress each of you made this year. Happy Summer, everybody!

(2/27/23) Our Studio Takes Part for Charlotte SHOUT! Festival
Featuring prominent Charlotte pianists; Bomi Tunstall, Paul Nitsch and Will Fried performing 4- hands piano duos. Charlotte Symphony Orchestra oboeist Erica Cice and principal flutist Victor Wang will join us for a trio. Also featured are delightful solos played by select students from Dr. Tunstall’s piano studio. This chamber music recital will be performed in a unique ampitheater crafted from 40 recycled pianos housed in one of Charlotte’s most historic churches. The nations’ first Pianodrome is right here in Charlotte!

(10/22/22) CPTF Student Recital
There's nothing better than starting my Saturday morning with a piano recital! The monthly student recital at Steinway Gallery hosted by CPTF is a great way for Charlotte area students to practice performing. Our studio participated as well and everyone did a wonderful job!
